Portugal: New contracts after FIFPro Tournament 2009

As already reported earlier the level of the FIFPro Tournament 2009 was higher than ever.

The strong Portugal team, that nevertheless finished as sixth, has already seen five of its players sign a new contract.

Paulo Santos, part of the Portugese national team during the World Cup in 2006, signed a contract with Estoril (II Divisao).

Miguel Garcia, who played for Sporting in the 2005 UEFA Cup Final, is about to sign for Olhanenense (Primeira Liga).

Valdir will also play at the highest level next year, he has signed for Rio Ave.

Aválos is going abroad, he is going to join the Cypriotic club Nea Selamina.

Finally Marco Paulo found a new employer in Mafra (II Divisão).
